According to France 24, aid agencies are warning that the resumption of fighting between Houthi opposition armed forces and Yemeni government forces is further deepening Yemen's already severe food security crisis; meanwhile, mobile medical clinics report that hundreds of children displaced by the fighting are suffering the most fatal forms of malnutrition.

Citing humanitarian aid agencies operating in Yemen, France 24 reported that since fighting between the Houthis and government forces reignited, civilian displacement has increased significantly and the food crisis has deepened rapidly. These agencies stressed that the recurrence of armed conflict is once again putting pressure on an already fragile food supply chain, and that the hunger emergency continues to worsen.

The report noted that in areas where the conflict is intensifying, mobile medical clinics have reported hundreds of cases of displaced children suffering the most fatal forms of malnutrition. Aid agencies warned that, if not treated in time, such malnutrition carries an extremely high mortality rate.
